Media, Media, Media

Three times this week, I had to tell the same story about how much space photos, music and movies take up on our hard drives.
Even though hard drive space continues to get cheaper and cheaper, the cost of managing our ever growing media databases (ie. iTunes, iPhoto) looms larger and larger.
Either I'm installing a larger internal hard drive in a laptop or iMac or I'm helping someone "split" their media up so only so much is available on their internal hard drive and the rest lives on an external hard drive connected into their system.
This entry isn't so much about a problem and a solution, it's more about the coming issue of how much personal media we surround ourselves with nowadays and how we are going to manage it.
I'm sure I'll be back to this theme again and I will share some working solutions that I've come up with.
